Manchester United Sent Chelsea Packing Home

January 12, 2009

I slept soundly last nite… I tried so hard to stay awake to watch the midnight game between Manchester United and Chelsea at Old Trafford. It was a match of big significance – tussling for 2nd position in the league table,  a match to confirm MU’s superiority over Chelsea once and for all, and for Chelsea to heal old wounds. I was so sleepy, but I fought sleep to stay up. 2 big blows for MU – the Chelsea line-up was at full force, and Rio Ferdinand couldn’t play… Double blow ! The match started explosively.. 3 yellow cards were flashed within the first 15 minutes…. Then I fell asleep… I woke up at minute 73 and saw the score line read MU 2, Chelsea 0. I had a chance to watch the replay of Wayne Rooney’s beautifully struck goal. Then I knocked out and woke up this morng… Did the score stay at 2-0? Did MU add some more? Did Chelsea equalize? I don’t know. But I’m pretty optimistic MU wouldn’t throw away a 2 goal lead with 20 minutes to go – not with this Chelsea side that seems to have internal problems within them this season…

Meantime I’ll hang on to this score line in my head until I get confirmation of final score… Can’t wait to watch the replay tonight !

Cheers !
