300 people attended the one-day seminar at Hotel Novotel Mangga Dua “How To Become A Superstar Sales Person”.
The theme was “Red Carpet Glamour”, the whole Academia team was dress in formal clothes; the guys in full suit, the girls in long gown. James drove into the ballroom in a sports car wearing a tuxedo. Participants, comprising sales executives, sales managers & business owners learnt the way that Superstar Sales People THINK differently & therefore BEHAVE differently. The learnt the difference in mindset and attitudes of Superstar Sales People. Participants also learnt the “4 Zones (Dead Zone, Comfort Zone, Panic Zone & Stretch Zone) and why some sales people are SIGNIFICANTLY more successful than others - because of the Zone that they work in. They also learnt how to get out from one Zone to the other. Participants also learnt the PROCESS & FORMULA to increase their sales by at least 300%. Finally participants learn the importance of “RE-CHARGE TIME”.

Mengapa pola pikir bisa berpengaruh terhadap kesuksesan seorang salespeople ? Karena pola pikir dapat membuat seorang salespeople meningkatkan pengetahuannya dan mempraktekkan pengetahuannya itu untuk kesuksesan penjualannya. Karena itu diperlukan suatu cara pikir positif dan bangga terhadap profesi sales. Kepositifan cara berpikir ini akan berpengaruh pada bagaimana seorang salespeople ini melakukan aksi yang akan berlanjut menjadi suatu kebiasaan dan akhirnya akan membuat hasil yang akan membawanya kepada kesuksesan.
Setelah membangun pola pikir yang positif dan kebanggaan pada bidang sales, salespeople yang sukses selain menganggap apa yang dilakukannya ini adalah sebagai suatu profesi, maka mereka pun akan menganggap bahwa mereka tengah berbisnis. Sehingga yang kita lakukan adalah melihat siapa yang tertarik dan kita tinggal menindaklanjutinya saja. Pendekatan berikutnya adalah Sniper Approach. Ini dilakukan ketika dana dan anggota tim terbatas, namun kita tahu siapa target market kita.

What a Wonderful Seminar with Pinsar Unggas Nasional in Bali !

Yes, it was truly a wonderful seminar for the members of Pinsar Unggas Nasional
in Bali today. From the beginning it promised to be a very happy session because we were greeted by the very friendly, cheerful and chatty Pak Ricky Bangsaratoe (Ketua Bidang Usaha) and Pak Yahya Kurniadi (Wakil Sekretaris Jenderal III). It was a pleasantly short drive from the airport to Dyana Pura Beach, Seminyak.
The seminar started with Pak Ricky as the MC, Pak Yahya gave a short report and Drh Hartono (Ketua Umum) gave his opening speech. Then my session started. The topic was “Regain The Real YOU, Enhance Your Performance”. Throughout the session, the audience paid full attention and participated so actively. After the session, the comments were all so positive. The CDs and books that we had brought along were almost immediately sold out ! Wow !

Last nite was a different experience - I exchanged my “seminar speaker” hat for a “co-host MC” hat. It was on the occassion of Spring Air - Spring Bed re-launching of Spring Air mattress’ new range of products as well as dealers’ appreciation night at Hotel Mulia.
I was fun to get to do something slightly different for a change and Farhan was certainly a very competent, pleasant and patient “mentor” for a “beginner” co-host MC like me !
The setting of the ballroom of Hotel Mulia was transformed into a dim setting, with 12 very inviting beds and the whole range of Spring Air mattresses on display. There was a Spring Sir mattress sales representative next to each bed to explain the special features and benefits of each Spring Air mattress…
The whole event was very well planned and everyone who came stayed till the end…

Yes, a VERY VERY BIG “THANK YOU” to Pak Joe Kamdani Founder & Mentor of Datascript for taking time to grace our “Champion Leadership” Seminar at Hotel Ciputra yesterday (15/5/09). The theme was MILITARY”, the whole decor of the Ciputra ballroom was military attributes, even the Academia team & James Gwee were dressed in full military attire !
More than 200 business owners, entrepreneurs, top executives and professionals came to learn powerful lessons from some of the world’s greatest CEO, which included Michael Dell (Dell Computers), Fred Smith (FedEx) Jeff Immelt (GE), Carly Fiorina (Hewlett Packard), Irene Rosenfelt (Kraft). From their response and comments during lunchtime, during coffee break and at the end of the whole seminar, everyone learnt so much. They even learnt the challenges and opportunities of the next 15-20 years ahead, and how to make maximum use of this economic slowdown to fully prepare their organisation and people to seize the tremendous opportunities when the economy recovers. There was no pessimisim in the room, only optimism and excitement at the opportunities ahead.
Then after the 3pm coffee break, everybody returned to the ballroom and Pak Joe Kamdani came on stage to the accompaniment of his favourite song “From Rags to Riches”. Pak Joe spent 30 minutes explaining his leadership philosophy “Succeed Above Success” and how to make employees have a very strong sense of motivation to achieve better results. He took and answered questions from the very enthusiastic and attentive audience. When he spoke everyone of the 200+ audience paid careful attention to his words of wisdom and vast experience. 45 minutes flew by so fast when you are leaning from the master. It was a day very well spent for many of the participants.
Amongst the participants were people who flew all the way from Makassar, Lampung, Medan, Pekanbaru, Bandung and Cirebon ! The youngest participant was 15 year old Fransiscus from Lampung ! FANTASTIC !
