What a truly WONDERFUL week this had been ! To all of you who took the time to attend the HR Gathering in 21/1/09 at Htl Novotel Mangga Dua THANK YOU VERY MUCH for making the event such a great success. To those who have already reserved your tickets for the whole year’s public seminar, CONGRATULATIONS ! You enjoyed a deal that will NEVER AGAIN BE REPEATED in 2009 ! After the seminar, so many who registered phoned in to register for some more of their colleagues ! Those who had to go back to the office to get approval also have called back to register for their employees. Wonderful !
After the HR Gathering, we immediately moved to the next door ballroom of Hotel Novotel for a 3 hour seminar with Yamaha Water Purifiers. What a session!
Then rushed to the airport to go to Surabaya ! What a very fruitful and satisfying day that was !

Ibu Monica made my day this morning. I was at Sales & Marketing Forum this morning at Hotel Menara Penisula. Untuk keberhasilan suatu presentasi ada banyak hal yang harus diperhatikan, mulai dari kesiapan materi, kesiapan diri sampai kesiapan alat – alat pendukung. Dan berikut adalah sepuluh alasan kenapa kita harus datang lebih awal kala akan melakukan presentasi.
1. Macet. Kemacetan apalagi di kota besar seperti Jakarta adalah hal yang selalu hadir disaat yang tidak terduga dan tidak pernah diketahui kapan dan dimananya. Karena itu lebih baik kita pergi lebih awal untuk menghindari kemcetan di saat kita harus melakukan presentasi. Usahakan untuk datang lebih awal sekitar setengah sampai satu jam sebelumnya. Dengan waktu yang kita punya kita bisa melihat – lihat situasi ruangan dan juga melihat para audiens kita. Ini dapat membantu kita untuk mengurangi ketidakpastian akan apa yang terjadi saat presentasi dimulai.
2. Unfamiliar location. Terkadang kita harus melakukan presentasi di tempat yang belum kita kenal. Mungkin kita tahu dimananya, tapi belum tahu dimana tepatnya lokasi kita presentasi. Karena itu kita harus punya waktu lebih untuk mencari – cari lokasi sebelum presentasi. Nah kalaupun kita sudah menemukan lokasinya, tak jarang kita malah kebingungan dengan ruangannya. Nah kita juga harus meluangkan waktu untuk mencari ruangannya.
3. Pelajari ruangan. Setelah kita mengetahui letak ruangannya, kita harus juga mengetahui situasi ruangan seperti bagaimana posisi kursi, bagaimana ukuran panggung dan sejauh mana jarak panggung dengan audiens. Ini penting dilakukan agar kita dapat membayangkan akan seperti apa presentasi ini nantinya.
4. Setting up needs time. Jaman sekarang presentasi harus menggunakan teknologi seperti OHP dan laptop. Nah, alat – alat ini harus dipersiapkan terlebih dulu sebelumnya agar tidak terjadi hal yang tidak kita duga seperti kehabisan daya atau terjadi macet saat presentasi dan untuk persiapan ini diperlukan waktu.

In the last 4 weeks, this is definitely the MOST ASKED QUESTION ! Everybody seems to want to know what to do…
Strangely, not only do I notice the similarity of the question, I also notice a similarity amongst the people who ask me the question. I also notice what type of people DO NOT ask me this question. I shall write my observations in my next article. So continue visiting this blog and my next article will give you more info abt this.
Also, I have sveral pretty good and “down-to-earth” suggestions that you could use to significany improve your sales performance. I gave these suggestions during one of my seminars for a home-appliance company and the participants (sales & mktg managers) commented to me that the ideas so simple & applicable ! I’ll also be writing these ideas in my article to this blog soon. Stay active OK !

This morning, as a change of atmosphere, I am scheduled to speak to more that 300 students of UNTAR. This event is actually organised by BCA as part of BCA’s program to visit campuses to provide undergraduates with a better understanding to career opportunities with BCA. This morning, the focus is on introducing them to the promising career as BCA’s Accounts Executive. My topic is “Success Secrets of the World’s Greatest Sales People”. I provide the audience with a clear understanding of what it takes to be a great sales person. And I share with them the secrets of the world’s greatest sales people - what they did that made them the world’s greatest sales people…
Yes they learn a lot this morng. The response was great and most heartening is that many of them enrolled as members of SeminarSeumurHidup !!

Wow,it’s GREAT!! Mr. James Gwee memang the great bussiness teacher for me! Perkenalkan nama saya Aditya Syahroni Akbar, saya tinggal di Banjarnegara-Jawa Tengah.
